Cross Tipped Churches - Poem

Cross Tipped Churches

Look upon the cross that,
withstands the wind.
Which will open up our hearts
and wipe away sin.

Where faith is a flower
and memories are forever.
Lend an ear dear father,
for our strength is prayer.

Cross tipped churches rise above
the sun soaked fields of grain.
like lighthouses leading us through
harbors of dark rocky waves of pain.

Candles of light that shine bright.
Where altars are aglow-
under stain glass windows
that tell tales from long ago.

A breeze whispers through the tall grass,
and gray stones that represent the forgotten past.
Look upon the cross that withstands the wind.

  3. Hi Russ,
Kelline just recommended your blog to me,I notice that you like photography. I love photography too, although I am completely non proffessional, just do it for the love of it. I also write poetry too, most inspired by my experiences as a christian. What is 'Land of the Cross Tipped churches? I have a blog, mostly of testimonies and poems, stop by when you Have time, if you feel to.

  7. Thanks Brenda,

My cousin is the writing talent for sure. I just take the pictures. I did a re-post not just because I like the poem but I also did not care that much for the pictures I used for the original post.
