In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.
Lyrics from the Hymn
"The Old Rugged Cross"

I remember that song so well though I haven't heard it sung in a long time. I can still Lillian G. singing it in her country twang. This is another of those great photographs where you put a fade around the edges. I don't know why that adds such beauty but it does.
It was my fathers favorite hymn. I have been to this chapel many times and usually take one or two pics while there. This was the first time I felt I really got a nice shot of the crucifix.
