Christ Resurection - Stained Glass - St. Louis

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. (NLT)

Beautiful stained glass window, beautiful scripture. I really love the way you present this blog, and the colour is lovely.

Thanks Brenda,

I tried to do something a little different with this one. I used a little flash so the cross beams would show up gray instead of black. The picture looks much better on my iPad than it does my laptop.

This window is filled with religous symbolism! I don't know where to begin to analyze it - maybe at the spear of destiny (left)or the roses on the arch or what look to be grapes near the top corners or the eight pointed stars on the beams from Christ. It would take a day to fully catalogue every synbol and look up its meaning or meanings. Keep 'em coming.

42N, Thanks for the comment. It's amazing what symbols you can find in some of these stained glass windows. I agree with on the roses and grapes on the arches.
